Scholarships
Scholarships and grants are a good way to fund your studies and are open to a wide range of students.
Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences provides a range of different scholarships and grants.
EUAS Master’s Scholarship Programme

Application deadline: 15 August

The aim of the scholarship programme is to offer opportunities for development to the top applied higher education graduates of EUAS and to other outstanding students, support the university’s research groups and conduct research important to the university, AS Mainor, Ülemiste City and other cooperation partners.

There will be maximum of 5 tuition fee-free places allocated each academic year

To apply to the scholarship programme, students need to have:

  • completed a Bachelor’s or applied higher education programme at the EUAS or another Estonian university;
  • received grade excellent (5) or very good (4) for their thesis;
  • an average grade of at least 4.0 in their previous studies.

EUAS Academic achievement scholarship

Application deadline: 31 August

The objective of the scholarship is to value and recognise the outstanding academic achievements of full-time students at the EUAS and to promote fulfilment of academic goals. Scholarships are appointed by a decision of the scholarship committee once a year based on rankings.

The value of one scholarship is 900 euros per academic year.

Up to 5 scholarships will be awarded.

In order to apply for the scholarship, student must submit an application and a motivation letter through the study information system ÕIS.

Tallinn City Council Scholarship

Application deadline: 15 October

The scholarship is intended for master’s level students whose master’s thesis is related to the fields of activity of the City of Tallinn as a local government, has practical value for the management of urban life, and contributes to solving an issue faced by the City of Tallinn. A student’s supervisor has the right to nominate a candidate.

The value of the scholarship is 2,000 euros. The scholarship is funded by the City of Tallinn.

The City Council Scholarship is announced each year no later than 1 October.

Final Paper and Master’s Thesis Scholarship Competition by the Council of Rectors of Applied Higher Education Institutions

The scholarship is intended for EUAS students who have defended their Final Paper or Master’s Thesis this year with an “excellent” grade in the current academic year.

The value of the scholarship is 500 euros.

The chairpersons of the Final Paper or Master’s Thesis defence committees have the right to nominate candidates. From the submitted papers, the evaluation committee will select two works — the best final paper and the best master’s thesis. The authors of the best works and their supervisors will be recognised at the graduation ceremony.

Scholarship of the Ülo Pärnits Education Fund

Application deadline: 1 May

Students who collaborate with Ülemiste City or EUAS (e.g., research projects, volunteer work, etc.), study alongside work, are active in their professional and social fields, achieve excellent academic results, submit a final paper or master's thesis graded at least "very good" and lecturers who support lifelong and practical learning through their relevant, engaging, and methodologically sound are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Up to seven scholarships may be awarded each year.

The minimum value of one scholarship is 1,500 euros.

In order to apply for the scholarship, students must submit an application with required documents through the study information system ÕIS, and lecturers to send to stipendium@eek.ee.

Kristjan Jaak Scholarships

The Kristjan Jaak national scholarship programme awards mobility scholarships to master’s and PhD students for degree studies abroad, and to PhD students and resident physicians for short study visits.

There are two different types of the Kristjan Jaak national scholarships.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR DEGREE STUDIES ABROAD is available for citizens or permanent residents of Estonia. With this scholarship it is possible to start or continue master’s or PhD level studies at a recognized foreign university. The applicant has to prove their language knowledge at least on B1 level and fill in the application form in Estonian. The grantees are required to work in Estonia in a professional capacity for 2 years (master’s student) or 3 years (PhD student) after graduation. The application deadline is once a year. The application deadline of 2025 is 1st of April.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR SHORT STUDY VISITS is meant for PhD students and resident physicians of Estonian higher education institutions. Application is open for people of all nationalities, but the applicants have to prove that their Estonian language knowledge is at least on a B1 level and fill in the application Form in Estonian. With this scholarship it is possible to participate in conferences or intensive courses, visit libraries or labs, or take part in any other study, research or teaching related activity. A short study visit can last up to 30 days. The application deadlines of 2025 are March 3, June 2, and September 21.

The calls for applications are opened in the application system one month before the application deadline.
