Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences had visitors from Japans’s Moriyama Highs School

During the period from 1st to 4th March 44 students and two teachers from Japan's Moriyama Middle School visited the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences. It was a first-of-its-kind cooperation project, the aim of which was to introduce Japanese schoolchildren to the exciting activities and solutions of Ülemiste City, the largest Smart City in the Baltics, and its spiritual center EUAS.



In order to create a common background system, on the first day of the trip, the representative of the joint agency of EAS and Kredex introduced the past, present and future vision of relations between Estonia and Japan. In the following days, however, the focus was already on the Smart City concept, getting to know the Ülemiste City and it’s companies, included visiting Ülemiste City Health Center and International House. In addition students had the opportunity to drive a self-driving car in cooperation with TalTech and participate in a workshop on creating student companies organized by Junior Achievement. In the second half of the visit, the Japanese students introduced their culture to the school family and presented their suggestions of ideas that could be implemented in the further development of the Smart City.
