Top-up for green travelling
Utilizing environmentally friendly and sustainable modes of transportation, such as trains or buses, for more than half of your journey to and from your destination country can make you eligible for a bonus.
The support consists of:
a) an one-time additional allowance of 50 euros;
b) extension of the study abroad granted period by up to 4 travel days (up to 2 days for going to study abroad destination and up to 2 travel days for returning from studies abroad).

Validation: travel tickets/boarding passes are required to confirm the type and dates of travel. However, in certain situations, the scholarship is calculated from the start date of the study abroad program, which is when you need to be present for your studies. In such cases, the travel dates or arriving earlier are not included in the supported period. However, if you choose to travel using environmentally friendly means, such as by train or bus, it is possible to extend the granted study abroad period to account for the longer travel duration. This extension is only provided if the actual travel dates can be verified. Alternatively, you can choose to apply for an additional allowance of 50 euros without extending the study abroad period, if it is not appropriate for your situation.

Erasmus+ additional grant for the students with special needs
Students who have special needs related to physical, mental, or health conditions have the opportunity to apply for a grant in addition to the regular Erasmus+ study mobility grant. To be eligible for the Erasmus+ special needs support grant, you must indicate your needs and the expected extra costs associated with your special needs. The support provided for your Erasmus+ mobility can include various areas such as adapted accommodation, travel assistance, medical care, medical support equipment, modified learning materials, and the option of having an accompanying person, among others. It is important to note that if you require additional support that incurs actual costs, you must provide the necessary cost documents, such as agreements, invoices, payment orders, or cash checks, which should be addressed to and paid by you as the participant. These expenses must be incurred during the mobility period. If any of these conditions apply to you, please get in touch with the Erasmus Student Exchange Coordinator. Kindly explain your condition and the potential costs associated with it.

Estonian government co-financing

Starting from project 2023 (applying for EUAS students from the beginning of August 2024) Estonian government support is 135 euros per participant (one-time payment).

Erasmus+ scholarship for traineeships

The scholarship provided is intended to assist with covering expenses while studying abroad, however, it may not cover all costs, so it is advisable to be prepared to contribute a portion of the expenses yourself. For the Erasmus+ program, participants will not receive the scholarship if they are engaged in distance learning without physically relocating to the host country. For blended mobility, which involves a combination of virtual and physical mobility, the participant must spend a minimum of 2 consecutive months in the host country to be eligible for the scholarship (only the physical mobility period will be funded). If engaging in virtual mobility on-site, it is crucial to ensure that the host university supports the student's decision to move to campus and is willing to confirm their presence for exchange reports.

The European Commission's grant amounts from Summer 2024 onwards (project 2023) for EUAS students doing their traineeship abroad are the following:
